The spectacular Festival of Speed at Highlands returns – with an amazing selection of historic and classic vehicles battling it out on the world-class Highlands circuit. The Festival of Speed is renowned as one of the most popular racing events in New Zealand for both competitors and spectators.
It’s a weekend packed with some of the best modern classic racing you will see in New Zealand. Featuring the Pre 65 Racing, Mainland Muscle, Formula Libre, Highlands Modern Classics & Highlands Nostalgic Classics. Join us for some true-blue kiwi racing starring some of New Zealand’s most well-known racing legends!

Saturday 6 April – Sunday 7 April – Sunday 7 April: Event tickets are required.
Your Weekend Pass includes access to the pits so you can meet the drivers and see the cars up close as well as access to the Highlands Museum over on the main terrace. Level One at the Pits is also open to the public, so when you are finished checking out the facilities, you can enjoy the track action from Level One with a cool beverage in hand!
All pre-purchased tickets go in the draw for a Hot Lap with Hayden Paddon’s Hyundai AP4.

If you have a special vehicle that is worth showing off to our motor-racing fans then we want to hear from you! Registrations are open for the Highlands Festival of Speed Vehicle Show. Not limited to cars – it could be a bike, boat or caravan.
If your vehicle is accepted we will extend you one complimentary Weekend Pass for the Highlands Festival of Speed – any additional tickets can be purchased at the main gate.

Due to popular demand, we are thrilled to offer parking for self-contained motor homes at the Festival of Speed – so you can stay where all the action’s at all weekend long at Highlands.
