Great for businesses wanting to keep employees safe during the winter months, or individuals looking to improve their winter driving skills. Led by a professional New Zealand race car driver, this three-hour experience focuses on practical, highly relevant skills to keep drivers safe and in control on the roads during Winter season.
The experience is undertaken in the participants’ car, helping to ensure that the skills they’re learning are directly applicable within the car they drive on a daily basis.
Drivers will also get a car safety check from our qualified, on-site mechanic.
Loss of control experience gives you hand on experience of how you and your car react, when it all turns pear shaped. Our driving instructors will work with you to enhance your ability to respond quickly and effectively in these emergency situations. This training takes place in Highlands & GWD Toyota Vehicle.
The Health & Safety at Work Act 2015, states that a vehicle is a place of work – and as such anyone that drives as part of their work must receive education that is specific to the job, otherwise the company could be liable (or partly liable) in the event of an accident. Staff who are experienced in safe driving are less likely to have accidents, which results in less downtime, less vehicle damage and fewer insurance claims. Winter driving skills can potentially save your employees’ lives & the lives of others.
In a safe and controlled environment
Master the unexpected situations on the road this winter.

Fantastic experience! Being able to push your capabilities in your own car in a safe environment with great instruction is priceless. I have confidence in being able to recognise, react and deal with a risky situation knowing what I and my car can do. Thank you Highlands.
I have been driving in all conditions for 35 years and still found this a really valuable learning experience. The course taught how to take advantage of all the modern driving aids your vehicle is equipped with.
By putting our staff through the Highlands winter driving experience, focuses their minds on the challenges they will face during winter. Our staff look forward to it – & you can’t say that too often about training! It’s fast-paced and hands-on. I’m confident it has not only made them better drivers and has given them skills for life.
