The Highlands Cafe is open seven days from 9am – 4pm.  The kitchen menu includes some of Central’s favourites and are available from 10am – 2.30pm.  Group bookings and corporate events can still contact us to discuss bookings outside of these hours.

Everyday serving top-notch, fresh local fare!  The Café is fully licensed so you can enjoy a vino or a coffee while taking in the spectacular views from our amazing alfresco dining and viewing deck.

Our expansive deck offers fantastic indoor-outdoor flow and there’s no place else in the world that can offer such sweeping views of a world-class racetrack, with its own lake and the backdrop of the Central Otago high country.

With discounts for children and seniors, the Highlands Museum is affordable fun for everyone in the family and perfect as a day trip from Queenstown or neighbouring towns.

The Highlands Café can be accessed directly from its own entrance, taking the path adjacent to the Main Museum building. If you would like to view the Highlands Museum, you can purchase your Museum admission, at our Café counter. Alternatively, you can gain access to Highlands Café from through the Museum.
