Highlands Cafe

Overlooking Highlands with a view that is as unique as the surroundings.

The Highlands Cafe is open from Thursday – Monday from 10am – 4pm.  The kitchen menu includes some of Central’s favourites and are available from 10am – 3pm.  Group bookings and corporate events can still contact us to discuss bookings outside of these hours.

Everyday serving top notch, fresh local fare!  The Café is fully licensed so you can enjoy a vino or a coffee, while taking in the spectacular views from our amazing alfresco dining and viewing deck.

Our expansive deck offers fantastic indoor outdoor flow and there’s no place else in the world that can offer such sweeping views of a world class racetrack, with its own lake and the backdrop of the Central Otago high country.

The Highlands Café can be accessed directly from its own entrance, taking the path adjacent to the Main Museum building. If you would like to view the Highlands Museum, you can purchase your Museum admission, at our Café counter. Alternatively, you can gain access to Highlands Café from through the Museum.
