Jackson Orchards Sprint Series Round 3

The Jackson Orchards Sprint Series is open to all competitors with the required MSNZ licence and vehicle with a minimum of a MSNZ certified half roll cage. This opens up the opportunity for people who haven’t raced at Highlands to give it ago.

The Sprint Series circuit configuration will be circuit A and circuit C of Highlands joined together creating a 2.9km circuit.

We have maintained a very similar race day format as previous seasons.  

• Rolling Starts: We have decided to continue with rolling starts this season, it’s a safe and simple way to get things started especially with the variety of vehicles in the different classes.   
• Fast and Furious race: This season we are continuing with the Fast and Furious concept but we are changing to a timed race for all 4 rounds. This race will run for 20 minutes for the first three rounds and then 30 minutes at the final round. The safety car will still be deployed halfway through the race to bunch the field up before the safety car restart.   
• Race 4 at the final round this season will be a 30-minute enduro race to add in an extra challenge for the last race of the season.    
• Joker Card: We have decided  to re-introduce the Joker Card for this season.  What this means is at one round you can submit the Joker Card and receive double points for that round.
• Driving Standards: The other change for this season is we are introducing a 3 strike policy, you will receive two warnings for driving misconduct and then the third warning will mean you’re out for the rest of the season. We want all competitors to enjoy their time on track and operate their vehicles in a safe manner at all times.

SERIES RACES:

• Consists of 3 x 6 laps races + 1 x 20 minute "Fast and Furious" race per round (Round 4 will have a 30 minute Fast and Furious race)   
• There will be 4 classes. These classes will be determined on "break out" lap times. Points will be awarded per race.   
• Entry Fees - Competitors will be able to enter the full 4 rounds at a discounted price and will have priority over those who choose a round by round option. The full entry fees are in the Supp Regs.   
• Food - Food and coffee will be available in our Highlands Café and in level one of the pitlane building.   
• Prize giving - There will be a prize giving at the pitlane building, after the last race, at the end of the 2024/2025 season.
